The 931 modules provide 10 channels of isolated digital inputs for status monitoring, counting and frequency measurement together with 10 channels of relay outputs. Each output is isolated and can be used to directly drive switchgear and other medium AC or DC loads. Additional outputs are provided for local alarm announciation or supervisory control.
Digital modules support three auxillary digital outputs and a digital input. these can be used in combination to drive a local alarm indicator. An alarm outputs can be set by any channel in alarm within the group 1-5 and a second alarm output by any channel in alarm within the group 6-10. An alarm state(0 or 1) can be programmed for each status channel. High alarm can only be specified for channels set for counting. For counting inputs a high alarm canonly be specified. The digital output level of these two alarm outputs is suitable to drive small externally powered relays using an isolated supply.
. The third output is an isolated relay and can be used to drive an audio alarm. This alarm output can be 'Acknowledged' and cancelled by a contact closure connected to the digital. The output will switch again when any alarm channel error condition occurs.
Note: The two alarm outputs and the acknowledge inputs are not isolated from the RS485 communications port
